Women’s History Month Spotlight: Emily Powers
In honor of Women’s History Month, we are spotlighting Emily Powers, one of our Top 20 Most Recognized Women at DHG via RAVE, our recognition and rewards platform. Emily has been recognized for living each of our DHG values (Trust, Relationships, Innovation, Passion) and embodying all components of our strategy (Talent, Leadership, Growth, Service, Performance).
“Emily is an exceptional member of the DHG Team and is 100% all-in,” says Brian Carlton, Managing Partner of DHG’s Metro DC market. “She is seen as a leader and go-to person who is always willing to go above and beyond expectations to serve our clients and the team. We appreciate her commitment to our firm!”
Emily started as an intern with DHG in 2013 and she’s currently a senior associate in the government contracting group. She loves the client interaction involved with her role, especially being a trusted advisor to her clients and knowing that the work she’s doing and the role she’s playing within the firm is making a difference. When asked about the recognition, Emily said, “Obviously it makes me feel good to be recognized, but I’m just one person out of everyone in the firm doing great things every day. This is very much a team accomplishment, if I didn’t have mentors who trained me and my coworkers who trust and support me, I wouldn’t be able to do the work I do. Being recognized as one of the Top 20 women is as much a win for my government contracting team, the Metro DC market and DHG as it is for me.”
